The entire soccer world is deeply concerned about Yael Trepy, a Cagliari player who is currently in intensive care at Santissima Annunziata Hospital in Sassari. The Rossoblù club, in an official statement, confirmed that the young forward lost consciousness in the pool and that, upon arrival at the hospital, he was intubated to stabilize his condition.

In this extremely delicate situation, Tommaso Giulini, president of the Rossoblù club, has publicly expressed the solidarity of the entire club. His message, posted on X, is simple and direct: “We’re all with you, Yael. Life has already presented you with difficult situations, and you’ve always found the strength to face them. Your Rossoblù family prays to be able to hold you in our arms again as soon as possible.”

Trepy was supposed to return to training today at the Crai Sport Center in Assemini, following the weekend off granted to the team after their Coppa Italia victory over Arezzo—a match in which Trepy started but was substituted in the 54th minute by Daniel Maldini. However, the accident has changed everything, leaving Cagliari and the soccer world waiting for encouraging news in the coming hours.

In the statement, in addition to confirming that the young player is in intensive care, Cagliari asked for the utmost respect for the privacy of the player and his family. Trepy, 20, arrived in Sardinia in 2022 and made his first-team debut on January 8, 2026, against Cremonese, scoring on his debut.
