Transfer talks between Inter and Roma are heating up again: the Giallorossi want to give Gian Piero Gasperini a new fullback and are moving quickly to finalize the transfer of Luis Henrique to the capital.

With Spence’s arrival, the Brazilian winger will see less playing time in Cristian Chivu’s lineup, and Chivu has given the green light for his departure ahead of the final signing (Curtis Jones from Liverpool). According to Sky, Luis Henrique has reportedly agreed to join Roma, and the deal is close to being finalized.

Inter and Roma had in fact already reached an agreement in recent meetings for a total of 30 million euros, including a fixed fee and bonuses, and there are no longer any obstacles to the transfer. But the announcement won’t come immediately: according to Sky, Roma first wants to finalize the deal with Porto for Rodrigo Mora, and then seal the deal for Luis Henrique.

Inter, having offloaded surplus players, will proceed with its final signing: Curtis Jones. Inter has reached a preliminary agreement with the midfielder on a personal level, with terms already agreed upon regarding salary and bonuses. The English international has clearly expressed his preference for Milan, even going so far as to personally deny rumors of alleged agreements with other clubs. The gap between Inter and Liverpool has narrowed, and as the transfer window closes, Liverpool’s stance could soften further—partly to avoid the risk of losing the player on a free transfer in a year’s time.

The England international continues to send messages to Inter, and on Saturday night he “liked” a post by John Stones, who was celebrating his debut goal against Betis Sevilla. Negotiations with the Reds have progressed and are nearing a conclusion: unlike their initial demands, Liverpool is reportedly willing to let the player go for less than 35 million euros.
