Monza Transfer News: From Promotion to Serie A to the Polish League—Defender Bids Farewell to Italy

Arvid Brorsson is no longer a Monza player. The Swedish defender, born in 1999, has reached an agreement to transfer to Rakow Czestochowa, a club in the Polish league, and is thus leaving the Brianza-based team he joined in January 2025, having helped secure promotion to Serie A at the end of the 2025–2026 season.
“AC Monza announces that Arvid Brorsson is transferring to Rakow on a permanent basis,” reads the statement from the red-and-white club. Having arrived in January 2025, the Swedish defender made 19 appearances for the Biancorossi, with whom he celebrated promotion to Serie A on May 29. Good luck to Arvid on his new adventure.”
During the season that culminated in the team’s return to the top flight, Brorsson made 13 appearances across the league and the Coppa Italia, starting on several occasions. This summer, he began preseason training under Ivan Juric, even playing 27 minutes in the victorious match against Galatasaray on July 24, which the Brianza-based team won 2-0.
Now a new adventure begins for the Swedish center back, who—after getting his start in the youth systems of Ostra Almby, IK Sturehov, and Örebro, and gaining his first professional experience with Örebro, Orgryte, and Myallby, decided to try his luck abroad, starting with Monza and now moving on to Rakow Czestochowa, a club that finished last season’s Ekstraklasa in fourth place, five points behind champions Lech Poznan.
