Milan Transfer Market: A Substantial Offer for Rafa Leao—The Forward Is Considering It

Rafael Leao’s future continues to be at the center of Milan’s transfer strategy. Gerry Cardinale is expected to arrive at Milanello in the coming hours, where he may speak directly with the Portuguese player to clarify his position and evaluate the options for the final weeks of the transfer window.
Meanwhile, the Rossoneri are reported to have lowered their asking price for their No. 10. While the initial asking price was around 60 million euros, offers ranging from 40 to 45 million could now be considered.
Among the interested clubs, Simone Inzaghi’s Al-Hilal has re-entered the fray. During the World Cup, Leao had already turned down the chance to move to Saudi Arabia, but the club is reportedly ready to make a new attempt, potentially meeting Milan’s demands and offering the player a salary of around 15 million euros per season: the Portuguese star would think twice before saying “no.”
A return to Galatasaray cannot be ruled out either. The Turkish club had offered 35 million plus bonuses, but did not take any further steps. In the meantime, it is considering other options, including Noa Lang, but the Leao deal could be back on the table if the offer is increased.
It’s worth noting that Galatasaray had already presented Leao with a contract worth 12 million euros net per season—nearly double what he currently earns with the Rossoneri. The sticking point remained the transfer fee, with Milan initially holding firm at a demand of 60 million: a reduction in the asking price could now effectively get negotiations with the Istanbul club back on track.
