Antonio Faravelli presents a masterpiece: Vitea Metodo Classico

viteaThe Vitea Metodo Classico is a story and a journey of discovery through the terroir. Externally, this is reflected in packaging designed with meticulous attention to detail. The capsule evokes the color of the rock- and silt-rich soils typical of the Upper Apennines region.
The label reveals the vineyard only under specific conditions of light and shadow, transforming every bottle into an experience waiting to be discovered. Internally, it is expressed through a meticulous and rigorous winemaking process of Pinot Noir grapes, with no added sugar at any stage of the process, allowing the vintage and terroir to express themselves with the utmost authenticity.
“Each vintage will be offered in multiple editions, with numbered bottles, transforming the tasting into an evolutionary journey over time, where each disgorgement will offer a different expression of the same wine. Each bottle tells a unique and unrepeatable story of place, time, and people,” emphasizes Antonio Faravelli, with justifiable pride.
Cantine Vitea is based in Loglio di Sopra, a hamlet of Montù Beccaria, in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese region, in the province of Pavia. The winery’s vineyards stretch across the hills of the Versa Valley, a region deeply rooted in viticulture and now one of the most significant areas in the Italian wine scene. The Oltrepò Pavese is, in fact, the main DOC region in Lombardy and one of the most important in the country. The winery’s origins date back to 1895, when Antonio Faravelli, the ancestor of the current owner, began farming in Montù Beccaria on land belonging to his wife’s family. A history spanning over a century that, generation after generation, has continued to the present day.
