Fabio Grossi, actor and husband of Leo Gullotta, has died

Fabio Grossi, an actor and theater director who was closely connected to Leo Gullotta—both personally and professionally—for over forty years, has died in Rome at the age of 68. After living together for a very long time, the two had entered into a civil union in 2019. The news of his passing, which initially spread via social media, was later confirmed by his family.

Born in Rome on January 29, 1958, Grossi began his theater career in the late 1970s. His debut came in 1977 with *L’uomo, la bestia e la virtù*, directed by Edmo Fenoglio. He went on to work with prominent directors, including Luca Ronconi, appearing in numerous productions. From the early 2000s onward, he focused more on directing, collaborating on several occasions with Gullotta as well.

His career was not limited to the stage. Grossi made his film debut in 1981 with *Mia moglie torna a scuola* and, in the years that followed, appeared in both popular comedies and more serious productions, starring in films such as *I fichissimi*, *Scugnizzi*, *Vajont*, and Paolo Sorrentino’s *L’amico di famiglia*.

His television career was also significant, beginning in 1980 with *Black Out*. Over the years, he appeared on numerous programs and collaborated with, among others, Nanni Loy and Renzo Arbore. He also starred in TV dramas and series such as *Le ragazze di Piazza di Spagna*, *La dottoressa Giò*, *La squadra*, *Cinecittà*, and *Un ciclone in famiglia*.
