Napoli is preparing to part ways with Pasquale Mazzocchi. The fullback, who joined the club in 2024, is no longer part of the Neapolitan club’s plans and is on the transfer list, according to Il Mattino. The Napoli player was left off the roster for last Saturday’s match against Genoa, officially due to fatigue, but he would not have been called up anyway, as the 17 players over 23 required by the regulations had already been reached.

The fullback, who arrived two years ago and won the hearts of Napoli fans, risks being excluded from the Italian and European rosters and will therefore be sold, especially since his contract expires in 2027. According to reports in *Corriere dello Sport*, several clubs have expressed interest in him, including Sassuolo, Lecce, Frosinone, Verona, and Cagliari.

Mazzocchi had an excellent preseason and is fully integrated into the team, but the arrival of Favasuli has led both his agents and the club to reconsider their options. The player, who would be reluctant to leave, has played 54 matches in all competitions for Napoli, winning the Serie A title and the Italian Super Cup.

Mazzocchi, born in 1995, has played for Bellaria, Pro Piacenza, Rimini, Parma, Perugia, Venezia, and Salernitana during his career. He made one appearance for the Italian national team in 2022, in the Nations League against Hungary.
