Luca Marini: A New Adventure in 2027 for Valentino Rossi’s Brother

Luca Marini will race for Tech3 starting in the 2027 season. The Italian rider will bring to the French team a wealth of experience gained in both Moto2 and MotoGP, a category in which he has also secured a podium finish. Marini made his debut in the premier class in 2021, after finishing second in the 2020 Moto2 World Championship. Since then, he has established himself as a consistent and reliable rider at the highest levels of international motorcycle racing.

The move to Tech3 will mark the end of his three-season stint with Honda HRC Castrol, the factory team he joined in 2024. His adaptability and experience will be particularly important looking ahead to 2027, a year that will usher in a new era for MotoGP with the introduction of significantly overhauled regulations and bikes.

Marini’s arrival will also coincide with a new phase in the partnership between Tech3 and KTM. Starting in 2027, the team will embark on a new chapter of its journey alongside the Austrian manufacturer. For the Italian rider, this move represents an opportunity to tackle the dawn of MotoGP’s new era with a fresh challenge and to take on an important role in the team’s technical and sporting project.
