The women’s national volleyball team wrapped up Group D of the 2026 European Championships with its fifth win in as many matches: at the Scandinavium in Gothenburg, the team coached by Julio Velasco defeated France 3-1, thereby securing first place in the standings. The set scores were 25-19, 19-25, 25-23, and 25-19 in favor of the Azzurre, who, throughout the group stage, lost only one set—against France—out of the fifteen they won.
