As for Semaj Christon, Cantù takes stock of the American point guard’s condition

Acqua S.Bernardo Pallacanestro Cantù announced on Monday the results of the medical examinations conducted after the scrimmage in Tortona (played on Saturday and won by the Piedmontese team 78-76), with particular attention to the condition of Semaj Christon, a key figure in the blue-and-white locker room—so much so that he was named co-captain for the 2026–2027 season, alongside captain Riccardo Moraschini.

Christon suffered a fracture of the nasal bones as a result of a blow sustained during Saturday’s game. On the morning of Monday, August 31, he underwent fracture reduction performed by Professor Klinger’s team at Humanitas in Rozzano, a procedure that stabilized the injury.

The club explained that the player will be evaluated daily to monitor the progression of his condition and determine the exact timeline for his return to the team. It will be important to manage the recovery timeline for the player, born in 1992, who arrived in Cantù after a season in Udine to bolster the roster of point guards available to Coach Frank Vitucci.

Matteo Parravicini also suffered an injury during Saturday’s game: the tests he underwent revealed a strain of the flexor tendon of his left big toe. An MRI ruled out any significant injuries, confirming a contusion-related swelling: the player has already begun treatment and will continue his rehabilitation under the supervision of the medical staff.
