The Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix is back, and so is PizzAut with its team and its delicious treats. Nico Acampora, the project’s driving force, spoke exclusively to Sportal.it during the race’s presentation at the Automobile Club of Milan about the project’s latest developments ahead of an event featuring twenty young people with autism.

What’s new this year?

This year, there are some big changes because we’re tripling our operations. In addition to being in the paddock with the young people and preparing pizzas for drivers, mechanics, and VIPs, we’ll also be with the fans in the fan zone and throughout the area. So we’ll have three pizza buses, three food trucks, and twenty young people with autism at work. In this case, their disability isn’t just an afterthought—it truly takes center stage.

There will also be a new pizza…

Yes, there will be the Kimi Antonelli pizza. We involved Kimi directly in creating it. Stefano Domenicali, who is a great friend of PizzAut, called him and asked what ingredients he’d like to see on the pizza. For now, it’ll be a surprise. We’ll probably unveil it as early as Thursday, because we’re planning to meet with Kimi and taste it together with him.

PizzAut is becoming increasingly well-known, and along with everyday people, more and more celebrities are coming to visit you.

Yes, more and more people are coming to visit us. Celebrities, first and foremost, are people, and very often they’re actually familiar with autism, even if they don’t talk about it publicly. They come to us to get a breath of fresh air and learn about a reality that’s trying to show that a better world is possible.
