Monza Overrun by Fans: The Italian Grand Prix Weekend Begins
Monza woke up very early to the roar of engines and the influx of fans. From the early hours of the morning, the city and the areas surrounding the Autodromo Nazionale began to fill with fans who had arrived from all over Italy and abroad for the 2026 Italian Grand Prix weekend. Friday’s schedule promises a particularly action-packed day, featuring Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, the Porsche Supercup, and even a historic car exhibition.
Monza woke up very early, with the streets already crowded with fans and motorsports enthusiasts. From the early hours of the morning, the city was overrun by Formula 1 fans, who arrived from all over Italy and abroad to experience one of the most anticipated weekends of the year. The 2026 Italian Grand Prix, the thirteenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship, has officially begun, with the “Temple of Speed” ready to welcome thousands of people. Friday’s schedule is packed and will bring all the major categories competing this weekend onto the track.
The day began with Formula 3 practice sessions, before giving way to Formula 2 and Formula 1. There is also great anticipation for the unveiling of the F1 car, while the afternoon will feature qualifying sessions for the junior categories and the second free practice session for Formula 1.
