The match in Madrid is still fresh in the minds of Inter fans, but for collectors, another hunt has already begun: the search for the sponsor-free Nerazzurri jerseys worn by the players at the Bernabéu. This unusual version of the Inter jersey is destined, precisely because of its uniqueness, to become a sought-after item on the soccer memorabilia market.

Inter, in fact, took the field against Real Madrid wearing a jersey without their main sponsor, Betsson.Sport. This was due to Spanish restrictions on betting company advertising, which effectively resulted in a version of the jersey different from the one normally worn by the Nerazzurri.

Inter jersey without a sponsor—collectors are already on the hunt

In this case, we enter the world of “match-prepared” and “match-worn” jerseys. The former are jerseys prepared for a specific player for that particular match, while the latter are those actually worn on the field. And it is primarily the latter that might be the focus of collectors’ interest.

The combination is unique: the Champions League, Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid vs. Inter, and a Nerazzurri jersey worn exceptionally without the main sponsor. These elements allow the jersey to be immediately identified with a specific match and can increase its appeal to collectors.

The price range, however, can vary significantly. The main factor making the difference is the player to whom the jersey belongs: a jersey worn by one of Inter’s star players or most iconic figures can attract more offers than one belonging to a less sought-after player.

The nature of the memorabilia itself also matters. A jersey simply prepared for the game generally holds different value than a “match-worn” jersey, which was actually worn during the match. Any marks attributable to the match and, above all, documented provenance can further influence the valuation.

The decisive factor is authenticity. To command high prices, a jersey must be definitively linked to the player and the match through reliable documentation or recognized certification. Without these elements, attributing a value to it as an authentic Real Madrid-Inter memorabilia item becomes much more difficult.

That’s why jerseys left in the locker room after the game—whether exchanged among players or eventually destined for specialized auctions—could become small pieces of Nerazzurri history. And for collectors, the hunt for the “sponsor-free” Inter jersey worn in Madrid has only just begun.
