This time, Paolo Crepet doesn’t hold back when it comes to Jannik Sinner

In an interview with *Il Tempo delle Donne*, renowned psychiatrist and sociologist Paolo Crepet spoke once again about Jannik Sinner: “I like him; I find him more likable because he’s battling his own demons. When he withdrew from Roland Garros, it seemed like a big deal, but withdrawing happens in life—sometimes you just can’t pull it off. I don’t understand this mindset that wants only heroes who never give in.”

“Back in the day, people would say at the bar, ‘It would’ve been better if that soccer player hadn’t played’; now, with social media, everyone says it to everyone. Social media has amplified the ugliness. I like Sinner better—I find someone who struggles with his demons more likable than someone who thinks they can just erase them.”

The difference between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz is glaring: “Alcaraz seems to have a lot of girlfriends because he couldn’t with his previous coach. He has more fun, but if you have more fun, you lose more. He just lost… In the end, it’s like Panatta said: he could have won more, but would he have had more fun? In my opinion, no. If you have a girlfriend, you don’t go to bed at 9:15 p.m. with a cup of chamomile tea. At 25, you can and should enjoy life; 40 years later, it’s harder.”

Crepet also revealed his past as a tennis player: “I follow tennis; I used to play and reached the C1 level. Anyway, everyone who could confirm it is dead, there were no photos, so I can say whatever I want…”
