F1: Kimi Antonelli has already won more than George Russell has in his entire career

Another victory. Kimi Antonelli also triumphed at the Spanish Grand Prix, held at the new, futuristic Madring circuit. For the World Championship leader, this was his eighth win of the season out of a total of 14 races (more than half of the races have ended with the Italian crossing the finish line first). Thanks to this latest achievement, he has joined F1 legends Jacky Ickx and Australian Daniel Ricciardo.

What’s most impressive is that, just over halfway through the season, he has more career Grand Prix wins than his teammate George Russell, his top rival for the World Championship title (the Briton currently trails by 81 points).

Kimi Antonelli is in his second F1 season, while George Russell is in his eighth, yet the Italian already has more career Grand Prix wins: eight to the Briton’s seven. In this single season alone, the score is eight to two in favor of the young Italian talent.

And, mark my words, the Bolognese driver has another young prodigy in his sights: Charles Leclerc, who has won nine races so far (he, too, made his F1 debut way back in 2018). These statistics confirm, if confirmation were ever needed, Kimi Antonelli’s incredible talent.
