European Cup Finals: Venue Lineup Finalized—Italy Also in the Spotlight

The UEFA Executive Committee meeting, held Tuesday in Thessaloniki, in Greece, determined the locations for the European finals in the coming years, mapping out a schedule that spans the entire continent: from Germany to Spain, from Romania to Wales, and even extending to Italy, with Turin chosen to host one of the Conference League finals.

As for the Champions League, UEFA has decided to hold the 2028 final at the Munich Football Arena (also known as the Allianz Arena), while the 2029 final will take place at Camp Nou in Barcelona, which will once again serve as the venue for a major final following its renovation. The final venues for the Women’s Champions League have also been finalized: in 2028, the final will be played at Parc OL in Lyon, while in 2029, the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff will host the competition’s final.

The Europa League will head further east, with Bucharest designated for 2028 and Belgrade for 2029. The Conference League, on the other hand, brings news of particular interest to Italian fans: the 2028 final will be played at the Allianz Stadium in Turin, confirming the quality of Juventus’s stadium. The final of the following edition, in 2029, will be hosted by the Puskas Arena in Budapest.

The UEFA Super Cup, which traditionally kicks off the European season, will finally be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in 2027 and in Astana, Kazakhstan, in 2028, while the 2027 final of the Futsal Champions League, the top continental five-a-side soccer tournament, has been awarded to the Biel/Bienne Arena in the town of the same name in the Canton of Bern, Switzerland.
