Monaco and Lens face off at 8:45 p.m. in a match for the fifth round of the Ligue 1 season. The team from the Principality is tied for first place with Lille and Rennes and is coming off an away draw in Strasbourg. The visitors have earned just one point in their last three matches and are looking for their first win since the season opener.

Brunner is the focal point of the attack for Filipe Luis’s team, which fields Abline, Golovin, and Detourbet in the attacking midfield. Zakaria and Camara are the two central midfielders, with Vanderson and Nazinho on the wings.

Lens coach Cahuzac is relying on the trio of Thauvin, Edouard, and Ivanovic up front. Aguilar and Udol are on the wings, while Haidara partners Cuisance in midfield.

Monaco vs. Lens: Probable Lineups
Monaco (4-2-3-1): Hradecky; Vanderson, S. Sané, Dier, Nazinho; L. Camara, Zakaria; Abline, Golovin, Detourbet; Brunner. Head Coach: Filipe Luis
Lens (3-4-2-1): Risser; Antonio, Ganiou, Todibo; Aguilar, A. Haïdara, Cuisance, Udol; Thauvin, Ivanovic; Édouard. Head Coach: Cahuzac

At the press conference, Filipe Luis spoke about the pecking order in the attack: “It’s updated every week; it depends on them, not on me. That’s always been my way of thinking, not just as a coach but also when I was a player. You have to earn your spot, regardless of your name, your background, or your age; you have to prove your worth every week! This raises the level of competition and allows everyone to grow. I’m happy with the roster I have and with having so many options up front, even though I have to adapt to this situation, because when you have four forwards, it can be frustrating not to play.”
