Venezia and Lazio face off at 8:45 p.m. in a match for the fifth round of the Serie A season. Venezia, currently last in the standings, are looking to earn their first points after four consecutive losses and will try to do so in front of their home crowd; Gattuso’s team, which drew with Milan in the last matchday, is looking to win to stay near the top of the standings.

Stroppa, whose job is on the line, is expected to rely on Adams and Yeboah up front. Hainaut and Sagrado will play on the wings, while the three midfielders will be Kike Perez, Helgason, and Sohm.

Gattuso is expected to start Sutalo in the center of the Biancocelesti defense alongside Provstgaard. In midfield are Frattesi, Belhayane, and Taylor; up front, Zaccagni is a sure starter in the front three, alongside Noslin (or Pinamonti) and Cancellieri (or Isaksen).

Venezia vs. Lazio: Probable Lineups
VENICE (3-5-2): Stankovic; Schingtienne, Moreno, Haps; Hainaut, Kike Perez, Helgason, Sohm, Sagrado; Adams, Yeboah. Head Coach: Stroppa
LAZIO (4-3-3): Mandas; Floriani, Sutalo, Provstgaard, Tavares; Frattesi, Belhayane, Taylor; Cancellieri, Noslin, Zaccagni. Head Coach: Gattuso

Gattuso had this to say before the match: “We mustn’t let overconfidence get the better of us and need to keep moving forward on this path. We mustn’t think we’ve all suddenly become great players; it takes sound judgment and the right mindset, not overconfidence. Tomorrow’s a tough match; Venezia is a team that deserved to pick up points—they pass the ball right in your face and mark you man-to-man. We mustn’t be overconfident and need to take it one game at a time. The little we’ve achieved so far is because we’ve played as a team.”
