Naples: Carlo Alvino Speaks Out on Allegri: “Something Has to Change”

Carlo Alvino assessed Napoli’s situation on Teleclub Channel 77 following Sunday’s draw in Florence. The Azzurri are tied for ninth place with 7 points: “‘A much-needed break’: that’s today’s headline. Napoli, as we saw even after yesterday’s draw, is still searching for its identity.”

According to the journalist, Allegri will need the next three weeks to figure out what needs to be improved: “Either that certain something—that special chemistry—clicks, or the players rediscover the desire to go the extra mile, to put their hearts on the line, and to regain their hunger for victory; otherwise, everything becomes damn complicated.”

“After these three weeks, there will be no more opportunities to discuss how to tackle the problems. The problems must be solved—period. Time is running out,” Alvino warned.

Confidence in Massimiliano Allegri remains unshakeable: “The important thing is that Allegri believes in us. He has a firm grasp of the situation and knows that this is a team that can and must improve.
