Fines for two Serie A clubs

The league is back, and so are the rulings from the Sports Judge, who has penalized Treviso and Varese. Marcelo Nicola’s team played against BC Roma, while Giannis Kastritis’s squad was defeated by Virtus Bologna.

NUTRIBULLET TREVISO. A fine of 1,200.00 euros for collective and sporadic insults directed at the referees and toward a specifically identified player [Art. 27.4bc RG rec., Art. 24.2b RG, Art. 28.3 RG]
OPENJOBMETIS VARESE. A fine of 800.00 euros for collective and sporadic insults directed at a specifically identified player [Art. 28.3 RG]

On Saturday, Treviso defeated BC Roma, Venice, which got the better of Cantù, and Trento, which won on the road against Reggiana. On Sunday, Virtus Bologna secured one of the most decisive victories of the round, winning 90-69 on Varese’s home court. Napoli also secured an away win, defeating Maxima Roma 94-75.

Udine secured a lopsided victory, leaving Scafati no chance and closing out the game 87-63. The matchup between Derthona and Verona was more closely contested, with the Piedmontese team managing to come out on top 101-93 at the end of a high-scoring game. It was a close contest right up to the end between Olimpia Milano and Trieste as well. The Milanese managed to secure the two points with an 83-79 victory, at the end of a hard-fought matchup decided by just a four-point margin.
