Parma Transfer News: Former Striker Alberto Gilardino Joins the Team

Parma is back on track: following the mutual termination of Carlos Cuesta’s contract, the club’s executives have identified Alberto Gilardino as his replacement on the Gialloblu bench. The former striker, who scored 51 goals in Serie A while playing for Parma, has coached Rezzato, Pro Vercelli, Siena, Genoa, and Pisa during his career.

According to reports, Parma acted quickly and contacted him immediately after Cuesta stepped down: he has been identified as the ideal candidate to bring about a technical turnaround for the team. Monday will be a day of intense negotiations to reach an agreement with his agents and finalize the deal: his arrival now seems just around the corner.

Following internal discussions between the club and the coach, it was agreed that the conditions for the parties to continue their professional relationship no longer existed, particularly regarding the development of the sports project. In fact, the necessary conditions to continue the work undertaken were no longer present, and this mutual decision was reached.”
