Cardiff City Stadium is set to host the match between Wales and Norway, part of Matchday 3 of Group 4 in League A of the 2026-27 UEFA Nations League. The hosts are still searching for their first points in the group, while the Scandinavians are looking to get back on the winning track to stay in contention for the top spot.

Craig Bellamy’s Wales team began the campaign with two consecutive losses. Following a 1-0 loss to Portugal came a 2-0 defeat to Denmark—results that have left the Dragons in last place in the group. In front of their home crowd, the Welsh national team will therefore look to turn things around and earn their first points.

Ståle Solbakken’s Norway, meanwhile, sits in second place with three points. After a 3-2 victory over Denmark in their opening match, the Scandinavians were defeated 2-1 at home by Portugal. The match in Cardiff is therefore a key opportunity to get back on track and stay near the top of the standings.

Bellamy has to deal with numerous absences. Wales will be without, among others, Harry Wilson, Nathan Broadhead, Karl Darlow, Joe Rodon, Dylan Lawlor, Rubin Colwill, and Isaak Davies. Up front, Lewis Koumas is favored over Kieffer Moore, with Daniel James, Brennan Johnson, and Sorba Thomas supporting him. In midfield, Ampadu and Sheehan will start.

Norway, meanwhile, welcomes back David Wolfe, who has served his suspension, but loses Alexander Sørloth to injury. Up front, Oscar Bobb is expected to start alongside Antonio Nusa and center forward Erling Haaland. In midfield, captain Martin Ødegaard will be flanked by Sander Berge and Patrick Berg.

Probable lineups:

Wales (4-2-3-1): Ward; Roberts, Mepham, Davies, N. Williams; Ampadu, Sheehan; D. James, Johnson, Thomas; Koumas. Head Coach: Craig Bellamy.

Norway (4-3-3): Nyland; Aursnes, Ajer, Lysaker Heggem, Ryerson; Ødegaard, Berge, Berg; Bobb, Haaland, Nusa. Head Coach: Ståle Solbakken.
