A bitter friendly at the Continassa for Juventus, who lost 1-0 to Cremonese, coached by Fabio Pecchia—a former Juventus player—in a friendly played during the international break. The match was decided by a goal from Bonazzoli in the 12th minute, assisted by Licina, who capitalized on a turnover by the young Amaradio.

For Luciano Spalletti, given the numerous absences, it was also an opportunity to experiment with some different lineups. Gatti was deployed as a fullback, while Cambiaso played in midfield in a playmaking role. Up front, however, Kolo Muani looked lackluster and failed to make an impact. Also worth noting were the debuts of Davide Marchisio and Alfonso Montero, both sons of former players.

Meanwhile, Juventus is focused on the present but also on the future. The new project must be supported, and to do so, the club needs to retain its most talented and valuable players. At this time, the club is reportedly considering contract extensions for two players highly valued by head coach Luciano Spalletti.

Specifically, we’re talking about Nico Gozalez and Pierre Kalulu. The former, after essentially being forced to stay over the summer, has become a crucial player for the Old Lady, who now aims to lock him down.

The Argentine has a contract with Juventus through June 2029, earning approximately 3.5 million euros per season, but Juventus wants to ensure complete peace of mind and, having received the green light from his representatives, is reportedly already planning the details for extending his current contract.

Keep an eye on the Pierre Kalulu situation as well. At the peak of his footballing career (he’s 26), the Frenchman is under contract through June 2029. In this case as well, Giovanni Carnevali is looking ahead and aims to secure the center back for as long as possible, perhaps with a slight adjustment to his salary (he currently earns about 2.5 million euros per season).
