Alexander Zverev is emerging as the star of 2026: unlike the two top players, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, the German tennis player has had the good fortune to remain injury-free so far and has not suffered a single injury since the start of the year. This is making a huge difference, so much so that the No. 1 spot in the ATP rankings is now within Sascha’s reach.

“Tennis is essential to me, and we all know that on-court training is incredibly important, because that’s where you win or lose. But I’ve always tried to improve my physical conditioning and push myself a little further, bit by bit, even off the court,” according to Tennis365.

Zverev explains how having a specific off-court routine is essential: “Working out at the gym, running, and everything you do off the tennis court is where this aspect really comes into play. I’m 29, almost 30, and I feel my body responding. I’ve had that ankle injury and a few minor back issues and other things, but I feel like my body is there, that it’s responding, and having that feeling is fantastic.”

After winning Roland Garros and the US Open, Zverev wants to cap off his incredible 2026 by claiming the world No. 1 ranking and the ATP Finals in Turin.
