Danilo Gallinari, a guest on stage at the Trento Sports Festival, revealed an interesting behind-the-scenes story about Jannik Sinner. The incident took place in the parking lot of a sports center, where Gallinari was driving: “I pulled up in my car, and before I could park, I had to go through three security checkpoints. I wasn’t sure where to go, so I stopped to ask the first attendant, then the second.”

“Throughout all this, there was a car behind me putting insane pressure on me: it wanted to pass me at all costs, but there wasn’t any room. At the third checkpoint, we pulled away, and this car passed us on the right, cut across our path, and slammed on the brakes. We almost collided.” Gallinari was about to get out of the car to confront the mysterious driver when a surprise happened. “We rolled down the window and… Jannik Sinner rolled down his from the other car.”

The anger immediately turned to laughter. Once the misunderstanding was cleared up, Gallinari let him pass, and the episode ended with a smile. But the story doesn’t end there. The two ran into each other shortly afterward inside the arena and finally had the chance to get to know one another without the tension of those frantic moments behind the wheel. That encounter sparked a friendship that grew stronger thanks to a shared passion: their love for Milan.

Meanwhile, Juan Carlos Ferrero has already announced that he’ll return to coaching a top player, though he hasn’t revealed any further details at this time. In an interview with Punto de Break, Ferrero didn’t rule out a future collaboration with Jannik Sinner at all.

The Italian player, currently sidelined due to a knee injury, might part ways with Darren Cahill at the end of the season: in that case, he might look for someone capable of replacing the experienced, world-class Australian coach. And Ferrero would fit the bill: “Problems with Carlos? It’s been a year now; what I’m trying to do now is focus on my growth as a coach and on how to advance my career. People need to respect my decision, and above all, if I were to join Jannik’s team in the future, it would never be to harm Alcaraz.”
