La Liga 2026–2027: Barcelona vs. Getafe, Probable Lineups

After the very long break for international play, the domestic leagues are finally back, much to the delight of fans and supporters. On Friday night, early matches were played in France (Lens-Lyon 2-1), Germany (Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen tied 2-2), the Netherlands (PSV Eindhoven beat Heerenveen 2-0), and Spain, with a 1-1 draw between Málaga and Espanyol.
Saturday’s schedule is truly packed: in the Premier League, Arsenal vs. Leeds kicks off at 1:30 p.m., followed by four matches at 4:00 p.m. (Aston Villa vs. Brentford, Chelsea vs. Bournemouth, Ipswich vs. Fulham, and Sunderland vs. Brighton), and at 6:30 p.m., the highly anticipated match between Manchester United and Tottenham wraps up the day.
Meanwhile, six matches will highlight the Bundesliga round. At 3:30 p.m., five matches will be played: Augsburg vs. Bayern Munich, Hoffenheim vs. Hamburg, Mainz vs. Bayer Leverkusen, Paderborn vs. Stuttgart, and Union Berlin vs. Elversberg. At 6:30 p.m., RB Leipzig will face Eintracht Frankfurt.
There will be four La Liga matches: all the top teams in Spain’s top division will be in action. At 2:00 p.m., Rayo Vallecano will face Athletic Bilbao, while at 4:15 p.m., Alavés will take on Atlético Madrid. At 6:30 p.m., Barcelona will face Getafe, while at 9:00 p.m., the day’s action will conclude with Real Madrid vs. Villarreal.
Spanish champions Barcelona return to action at Camp Nou after the international break: their match against Getafe is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Hansi Flick’s team leads the standings with a perfect record, five points ahead of Atlético Madrid and Betis. Getafe sits in 12th place with 8 points but is coming off a win in its last match against Málaga.
