Kulenovic comes on and Torino goes wild: a blunder dooms Udinese, Runjaic is in trouble

Torino defeated Udinese 2-1 in the late game of Matchday 6 of Serie A: Abate’s team secured the win with goals from Bragança and Kulenovic, while a costly mistake by Udinese goalkeeper Okoye in the second half proved decisive. Thanks to this victory—their first at home—the Granata climb to seven points in 12th place, while the Bianconeri suffer their fourth straight loss: Runjaic is under scrutiny.
The first half was highly tactical, marked by two bursts of intensity that led both teams to score. In the 36th minute, the home team took the lead through Bragança, who was quickest to react to the rebound after Che Adams hit the post with a splendid right-footed volley. The visitors responded shortly after, in the 43rd minute: Ekkelenkamp had two chances against Perri; he didn’t miss the second one and tied the game.
In the second half, both coaches made substitutions to shake up the game: Kulenovic’s entry proved to be the winning move for Ignazio Abate. In the 68th minute, the substitute capitalized on a disastrous mistake by Okoye, who left the penalty area and failed to clear the ball with his head, knocking over one of his own teammates: the path was clear for the Croatian, who made no mistake and put his team back in the lead.
Riding a wave of enthusiasm, Kulenovic created a string of chances to double the lead, but without success. The Friulians tried to respond by pouring forward, but their attacks were disorganized. As time ran out, the clearest chance fell to Ekkelenkamp, who sent his shot just wide. Torino returns to winning ways in front of their home fans.
