Lonnie Walker IV’s return to Europe sparks a bidding war among EuroLeague clubs. The American guard was waived by the Denver Nuggets and has just switched agents, preparing to sign with a team in Europe.

According to Eurohoops, Besiktas is currently the front-runner and has reportedly already been in contact with the player. Walker has previously played in the EuroLeague with Zalgiris Kaunas in 2024–2025 and with Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2025–2026: last season, in 28 games, he averaged 15.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists.

Among the clubs that might be interested is Olimpia Milano, which is looking for opportunities to strengthen its roster. Lonnie Walker has played for the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets, and Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA during his career.

Milan coach Poeta had this to say about potential reinforcements from the transfer market: “Before we change anything or make any moves, we all need to be on the same page. Then we can make a realistic assessment of this team. We’ve played some good games and some bad ones. The key to everything will be performing as well as possible over the full 40 minutes and finding consistency. And we need to do that right away.”
