2026-2027 Serie A: Venezia vs. Napoli, Probable Lineups

Venice and Naples face off at 3 p.m. in a match for the seventh round of the Serie A season. For Venice, this marks the start of a new era under Davide Nicola, who took over from the dismissed Giovanni Stroppa after six losses in the first six games. Last-place Venezia must bounce back to break out of the zero-point rut and will try to do so in front of their home fans.
Massimiliano Allegri’s team is coming off a crushing Champions League defeat to Villarreal, which left fallout such as an internal clash between the Livorno-born coach and De Bruyne. The Azzurri won their last match against Frosinone and currently sit on 10 points, six points behind the leader.
The Adams-Yeboah attacking duo will start for Nicola’s debut, with Hainaut and Haps on the wings. In midfield: Kike Perez, Basic, and Sohm.
Hojlund is expected to start on the bench, with Lucca in the starting lineup up front. De Bruyne himself could be left out initially, with McTominay and Giovane in the attacking midfield roles. Gilmour and Lobotka are in midfield. Beukema, Rrahmani, and Badiashile make up the defense.
