Tezenis Verona is looking to the transfer market following recent injuries

Tezenis Scaligera Verona is ready to make moves in the transfer market to address the emergency in its perimeter lineup. According to PianetaBasket, the Gialloblù club is close to signing a European player, with the goal of providing coach Alessandro Ramagli with a new option in the rotation following the injuries to Izaiah Brockington and CJ Massinburg.

This need has arisen despite the newly promoted team’s excellent start to the season, having secured three wins in their first four Serie A games, including a prestigious victory over Olimpia Milano.

The Verona front office had already begun scouting the market in recent weeks. Sports director Alessandro Bolognesi had in fact been working to find a temporary replacement for Brockington, but Massinburg’s recent injury has further accelerated the search for a new addition, deemed essential to ensure depth and competitiveness for the roster.

Meanwhile, there are encouraging signs regarding Izaiah Brockington’s condition. The American forward, who has been sidelined since late September due to a left soleus injury sustained during practice on September 29, is making good progress in his recovery. As announced by the Verona-based club on October 14, the latest MRI scans have shown a significant improvement in his condition, with the muscle swelling now almost completely resolved.

However, the extent of CJ Massinburg’s injury—who left the court early during the game against Pallacanestro Reggiana—remains to be determined. The American guard experienced a calf issue, immediately drawing the attention of the Gialloblù medical staff.

In the coming days, Massinburg will undergo an MRI to determine the nature and severity of the problem. His recent history is also a cause for particular concern: last season, while playing for Germani Brescia, the player had already dealt with several calf muscle injuries, which significantly limited his playing time.
