When Will Ronaldinho Play in Ravenna? The Official Date Has Been Announced
Ronaldinho is about to return to the field—the wait is (almost) over. After all the hype this summer, Ravenna fans were wondering when they’d finally get to see the Brazilian superstar in their team’s jersey.
The Romagna-based club itself announced the big date with an exciting video featuring many of the Brazilian star’s famous plays: Ronaldinho will return to the field on Sunday, November 15, at 5:30 p.m., in the match between Ravenna and Forlì at Bruno Benelli Stadium. It is still unclear how many minutes the former Barcelona and Milan star will be able to spend on the field.
The 2005 Ballon d’Or winner and 2002 World Cup champion with Brazil has played for Grêmio, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Milan, Flamengo, Atlético Mineiro, Querétaro, and Fluminense during his career. Among the trophies he has won is a Champions League title with the Blaugrana.
“From the announcement in Miami—which made headlines around the world—to the fans’ embrace on the beach at Marina di Ravenna last August 20, anticipation has grown amid a mix of enthusiasm, curiosity, and disbelief. President Cipriani’s idea—which sparked the fans’ imagination and fueled debate far beyond Italy’s borders—is now becoming a reality. Ronaldinho will play at the Benelli Stadium, opening a new chapter in a story that continues to surprise.”
“There are soccer players who are remembered for what they’ve won, and others for the emotions they’ve evoked. Ronaldinho belongs to that rare category of champions capable of turning soccer into joy: an unexpected move, a moment of brilliance, a smile that has united stadiums and generations. On November 15, that same emotion will meet the Giallorossi passion and the atmosphere of a derby deeply felt by the city.”
“For Ravenna, it will be a day destined to go down in the memory of the club and its fans. For fans around the world, it’s an opportunity to see one of the most beloved figures in soccer history back on the field.”
“The date to mark on your calendar is November 15 at 5:30 p.m.: Ravenna vs. Forlì at Bruno Benelli Stadium. All information on how to purchase tickets will be announced shortly through Ravenna FC’s official channels. The wait is almost over. The magic returns to the field.”
