Shocking news from Aprilia: Jorge Martin suffers a serious injury on Marc Marquez’s triumphant Saturday

Marc Marquez (Ducati) won the MotoGP Sprint Race in Australia and will have the chance on Sunday to make a significant push in the World Championship: his direct rival in the standings, Jorge Martin, crashed at Turn 8 during the eighth lap of Saturday’s race, sustaining—as announced by Aprilia in an official statement—“a fracture of the radius and a possible fracture of the ulna in the distal end of his right arm.” Martin will therefore be unable to race on Sunday, and his participation in Malaysia is already in serious doubt.
