2026-2027 Serie A: Roma vs. Cagliari, Probable Lineups

The Olimpico is ready to host the match between Roma and Cagliari, scheduled for tonight at 8:45 p.m. as part of the ninth matchday of Serie A. The Giallorossi are coming off a draw against Napoli and are looking to get back to winning ways to stay in contention for the top spots. The Sardinians, on the other hand, are coming off losses to Bologna and Monza and are looking to bounce back to snap their current losing streak after a strong start to the season.

For Roma, Dybala is set to be called up but is expected to start on the bench. Behind Malen, Gasperini is expected to rely on Soulé and the young Portuguese player Rodrigo Mora, while in defense, Ghilardi is a candidate to start. Cristante is expected to return to the midfield alongside Pisilli.

Fabio Pisacane’s Cagliari must bounce back after their recent losses. The absence of Winks, sidelined by lower back pain, forces the coach to reshuffle the midfield, where Romano and Deiola are expected to start alongside Adopo. Behind Mendy, Maldini and Fazzini are expected to play, while in defense, Mina is set to lead the back line.
