Bayern Munich visits Atlético Madrid on Tuesday evening at 9 p.m. at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano for Matchday 4 of the Champions League group stage. The Colchoneros have earned four points in their first three matches, losing their opener to Liverpool, then defeating Manchester United and drawing 1-1 on the road against Stuttgart.

Simeone’s team is coming off a strong run in La Liga, with wins against Deportivo and Levante. Bayern, on the other hand, has earned five points in Europe so far: following a 5-0 victory over Bodø/Glimt, they’ve drawn twice against Viking and Arsenal. In the Bundesliga, the Bavarians are coming off a 2-2 draw in the Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund.

Simeone is expected to field a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Julián Alvarez as the main striker and Baena providing support in the attacking midfield. Simeone and Lee are expected on the wings, with Lee competing with Lookman for the starting spot. Barrios and Llorente are expected to start in midfield. Hjulmand will be unavailable, while Koke and Cardoso remain doubtful.

Bayern will once again be led from the bench by assistant coach Aaron Danks, who is replacing Kompany, who is forced to continue his recovery after falling ill in recent days. The Germans are expected to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, relying on Ballon d’Or winner Kane as their main attacking threat, supported in the attacking midfield by Olise, Karl, and Brown. In the center of the field, Kimmich and Pavlovic will form the midfield duo. Among those unavailable are Musiala, Luis Díaz, Saibari, Gnabry, and Ndiaye.
