2026-2027 Premier League: Everton vs. Coventry, Probable Lineups

Everton and Coventry face off Friday night at 9 p.m. at Hill Dickinson Stadium in the 10th matchday of the Premier League. The home team currently sits in seventh place in the standings and comes into the match on the heels of two consecutive wins against Newcastle, across the League Cup and the league. The situation is more complicated for Coventry, who sit in 16th place and are looking for positive results to move away from the bottom of the standings.
David Moyes is expected to stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation, with Thierno Barry leading the attack. Behind him, Dewsbury-Hall is expected to start, flanked by Röhl and George in the attacking midfield. Armstrong and Garner are expected to play in the midfield. In defense, Jarrad Branthwaite remains a question mark; Moyes hopes to have him back after he experienced pain in the last match. Jack Grealish, however, will be unavailable due to disciplinary reasons.
Frank Lampard is expected to respond with the same formation, entrusting Awoniyi with the task of leading the attack. Rudoni will play behind him, with Sakamoto and Gboho on the wings. Yirenkyi and Torp are the favorites in midfield. Coventry will have to do without the unavailable Amenda, Haji Wright, Eccles, and Woolfenden, while Thomas and Onyeka remain doubtful.
