Gianmarco Emiliani, 24, was the young motorcyclist who lost his life in the tragic traffic accident that occurred on the morning of Thursday, November 5, 2026, on Via del Foro Italico in Rome.

The tragic incident occurred near number 430 on Via del Foro Italico, along the lane heading toward San Giovanni. The unfortunate young man was riding his Piaggio Vespa when, for reasons still under investigation, he collided with a car.

On the evening of Thursday, November 5, while officers were completing their investigation, a young woman—who was presumably behind the wheel of the car—voluntarily presented herself at the offices of the II Gruppo Parioli of the Local Police, making herself available to investigators.

The investigation is ongoing to precisely determine the circumstances that led to the collision and to clarify any liability. Investigators are examining every piece of evidence to reconstruct the final moments before the collision that claimed the life of Gianmarco Emiliani.

According to reports from the capital’s media, the victim divided his time between Rome and Vietnam. In Rome, he reportedly had ties to the Pinciano neighborhood, where, according to the newspaper’s account, he was returning on the night of the accident. A family member is expected to arrive from Asia to handle the difficult formalities surrounding the autopsy and subsequent funeral.
