Neither a winner nor a loser in the match between Mantova and Hellas Verona

A 0-0 draw between Mantova and Verona at the “Martelli” Stadium on Matchday 11 of the Serie B season. The draw allows both teams to maintain their positions in the playoff zone, though it represents a missed opportunity to close in on (or, in Mantua’s case, reach) second place in the standings.
The first quarter-hour was a stalemate. Then the Gialloblù’s Zappa found himself one-on-one with Bardi, but the goalkeeper made a fine save to deny the Hellas striker. On the ensuing low cross from Buocco, no one was able to get to it. Verona is anything but timid: Frese takes a sure shot from the center of the box, but the Mantua defense closes ranks. Hellas counterattack (25′), Mosquera to Harroui, who takes a shot. At 35′, a Mantua free kick leads to a scramble in the Verona box, but nothing comes of it.
In the second half, Mantua immediately pushes forward, while Hellas always seems to get to the ball at the last moment. Harroui shoots from close range, but Bardi makes a miraculous save. The final thrill comes from a shot by Caiazzo, well-saved by Perilli, who thus secures the 0-0 final score.
