It’s a rough patch for Ivan Juric’s Monza, which has suffered its fourth straight loss and now sits third from the bottom in the standings. The Biancorossi were defeated 1-0 by Atalanta in their Serie A Matchday 11 fixture and are in the midst of a crisis.

Everything happened in the final moments of the match: in stoppage time, there was contact between Rowe and Colpani, which referee Allegretta decided not to penalize amid protests from the Monza players. Monza coach Juric received his first yellow card, then a minute later was shown a red card due to tensions with the opposing bench following a rough tackle by Colpani on Rowe.

Juric’s position is now in question: Monza has lost its last four matches against Torino, Napoli, Bologna, and Atalanta and has plummeted to third-to-last place with just seven points earned in eleven games.

Krstovic’s goal in the 50th minute decided the afternoon’s match: the Nerazzurri forward pounced on a loose ball in the Biancorossi’s box after a mistake by Törnqvist.
