Paola Egonu Unstoppable; Scandicci Overwhelmed in the Big Match

Vero Volley

Numia Vero Volley Milano is unstoppable. Yet another three-set victory for Chicco Blengini’s team, which prevailed in just over an hour with set scores of 21-25, 22-25, 17-25 over Savino Del Bene Scandicci, securing their seventh straight win and the top spot in the standings with a perfect record (21 points).

In the early match at the Pala BigMat in Florence, Egonu and her teammates put on a nearly flawless volleyball performance, with defense—Eleonora Fersino was masterful in Milan’s back row—and blocking once again taking center stage, featuring a total of 11 monster blocks, five of which were by Anna Danesi.

Paola Egonu claimed the MVP award for the fourth time this season: the Milan captain tallied 21 points and recorded four aces at crucial moments of the match. American Khalia Lanier also scored in double digits (10 points), but Hena Kurtagi’s performance did not go unnoticedć (7) did not go unnoticed. This victory boosts confidence and sets Numia on course for its next challenge: on Wednesday, November 11, at 8:30 p.m., the team returns to the Allianz Cloud in Milan for the match against Brescia.
