Inter market, already thinking about how to replace Bastoni: one name in pole position

Inter is focused on the season finale but is also looking ahead to next year. There are many issues to be resolved. There is talk, insistently, of the possibility of a couple of excellent departures in order to have the necessary treasury to intervene on the squad in a major way. In addition to Calhanoglu (Galatasaray under great pressure), attention is being paid to the future of central defender Bastoni.

According to Marca, the Nerazzurri defender has already informed Barcelona that he is willing to accept a possible offer, moreover, yet to be formulated. In fact, the same sports newspaper admits that the Blaugrana management has not yet started any negotiations with Inter. It is believed, however, that first they wanted to screen the player’s will: proof of this would be several recent trips to Milan by Deco, the current culé’s ds.

Inter would already be sounding the ground in search of a valid replacement. Among the names in play would be that of Gila, a central defender currently with Lazio. The Spaniard would also be a market target of Milan (Tare knows him very well). In short, not to rule out a market derby for Gila. Clearly, all to the advantage of the biancoceleste club (the Spaniard’s contract expires in June 2027).

Clearly, Gila would not be the only defender in the Nerazzurri’s sights. There is plenty of time to sound out the market and, in case Bastoni should really pack his bags, identify the best choice.
