Andrej Kostic will become an AC Milan striker starting next season. The Rossoneri have closed the deal with Partizan Belgrade for a fee of 3.5 million euros plus 4 in bonuses and a percentage on future resale. The promising player will initially be attached to AC Milan Futuro but could be promoted soon by Allegri given his potential.

In Serbia, meanwhile, they have already repented: Partizan vice-president Pedrag Mijatovic, a former Real Madrid and Fiorentina striker, thundered to sportkse.net against the club’s decision. “Regarding the information about the transfer of Andrej Kostić to AC Milan, I feel obliged to address first of all Partizan fans, but also the rest of the sporting public, and to make it clear that I completely distance myself from such a decision. I responsibly affirm that I was not consulted in any way regarding the transfer of Andrej Kostić and that I never even saw the offer from Milan.”

“I emphasize that, had I been involved in the decision-making process, I would have made it known clearly and unequivocally to all members of the Board of Directors that I was absolutely opposed to accepting such a derisory offer. This behavior constitutes a serious violation of the company’s bylaws, considering that, by virtue of my well-defined function and competencies, I am responsible for the entire sports sector of the club, including matters related to market policy and player development.”

“Is this the way the club intends to operate in the future, selling its most promising players at zero parameters? You have made this decision despite the fact that the rest of the Board of Directors, led by Rasim Ljajić knows that in recent months I have had intensive contacts and talks with representatives of several teams from the five major European leagues regarding some of our young players, including Kostić and that I have made it clear to everyone that all of our players have multimillion-dollar termination clauses and that the club’s policy is to properly enhance their talent and football potential. I am of the opinion that a dangerous precedent has been set with this transfer.”
