Marcelo Nicola warns rivals: "We deserve the big league"

Marcelo Nicola, invigorated by Nutribullet Treviso’s two consecutive wins, knows that the feat of salvation is tough but not impossible to achieve. “Of course we believe in it, even more so now that we’ve put two wins in a row. However, I understand that it may seem trivial, this is not the time to make tables, but it would be better to work. Rather we must continue to do our own,” he explained to Corriere dello Sport.
“We need to gain more and more confidence in attack, to be aggressive and compact in defense. It has happened to us that when we are less fluid in the construction of games we lose the ability to be united, a granitic block, defensively. That must not happen. We have to find ways to express maximum energy in both halves of the court,” he continued.
“When the call came from Treviso, the situation of the standings, and of the team, was complicated, very complicated. I didn’t hesitate for a moment though, because my heart made the decision, so I could never have said no. I accepted the challenge to make this club and this city stay in Serie A: the place it deserves,” he finally emphasizes.
Saturday night the Veneti will be on stage at home against Tortona while Cantù will host Dinamo Sassari at the Paladesio.
