Voetbal International, a qualified Dutch media outlet, also addresses the biggest market knot for Juventus. And it does so by showing some surprise at Lois Openda’s underperformance.

“It is problematic for Juventus to now have to exercise the option to buy Loïs Openda provided for in the loan agreement. The obligation would be triggered because, after the success against Atalanta, the Bianconeri are certain to end the season at least among the top 10 in Serie A.”

“The Belgian striker, who made his mark during his time at Vitesse, has not made a significant impact in the Bianconeri. He has collected 33 appearances, but with a total minutage of less than 1,000 minutes. In this span he scored two goals and recorded no assists between Serie A, Champions League and Coppa Italia.”

“According to some international sources, however, the obligatory purchase does not necessarily imply his stay in Turin after the next World Cup. In fact, the club would be considering a possible transfer, looking for a new destination for the striker, who had scored 37 goals in two seasons at Vitesse.”

“The club is considering a possible transfer. Of course the Eredivisie is not Serie A but the flop is there for all to see.
