Valtteri Bottas returned to talk about his past in Mercedes. “Especially the first two years I was very, very hard on myself. I wanted everything and now, and then it was hard to digest the fact that I couldn’t win the title. I was very hard on myself, and certainly sometimes a little more calm would have helped.”

The Finn explained to Racefans that he found himself well at Alfa Romeo. “Obviously it’s a different context. At the moment we are not fighting for wins or world titles. I feel a little less pressure both because of the performance of the car and the environment in the team. Otherwise, not much has changed: I always try to bring out 100 percent, the team does the same. Now you have to accept the fact that we are aiming for the years to come: nothing happens overnight. The team cannot go from eighth position to first. It will take time, also because all teams want to improve quickly.”
