Milan, Cassano attacks Allegri again and points to new coach: "He is perfect"

Antonio Cassano returns to attack Massimiliano Allegri, who he says is the main responsible for Milan’s current crisis. “Massimiliano Allegri has destroyed Milan,” he told Viva el FĂștbol. “And the fault, besides Allegri who has made a disaster, is also Tare who arrived as the savior of the country.”
“I saw the writing ‘Furlani out’ and I wonder: if you don’t have an idea, if you play badly and make mistakes in the market, what fault is Furlani? I was one of the first to criticize the club, however Furlani does not choose the team, because the coach with Tare chose the team. Does Furlani miss goals? No.”
Cassano pointed to Antonio Conte as Allegri’s successor: “He would be the first coach to win four Scudettos with four different teams. If Milan wants to do things right, Conte is perfect. The path for me can be there. Allegri? Unlike Conte he sells himself well, while he, Conte, only thinks about the field and doesn’t give a damn about the press. He makes the field speak.”
This is not the first time Fantantonio has lashed out in such harsh tones against the Livorno coach. Already in recent weeks, again in Viva el FĂștbol, Cassano had demolished Allegri’s work at Milan: “This season has been a crumbling affair. I can’t think that half an hour from the end you don’t have the courage to play the game.” And again, addressing the coach directly, “You’ve always said that whoever comes second is a failure. Then explain something to me: you haven’t won anything for eight years. What are we supposed to say?”
Attacks to which Allegri had responded with irony in the press conference, recalling their shared pasts as player and coach: “I had the good fortune and pleasure to coach Cassano, he had extraordinary plays, I think he came a little closer to Ronaldinho. I respect everyone’s opinions, if for him I am responsible for the national team’s problems, he paid me a compliment.”
