Two thorny cases in Olimpia Milano’s house: the future of Brooks and Ellis is a puzzle

Olimpia got the post season off to a great start: 3-0 against Reggio Emilia, playing at an important level. Everything is running smoothly, although there are two issues that are “distracting” the environment. Let’s talk about the Brooks and Ellis cases.

The first, as known, is expiring his contract with the white-and-red club that, for some time, would have made a proposal to continue the relationship together. However, on the MVP of the 2025/26 regular season, a real auction would be underway. At stake are Partizan and ASVEL. By bids, the two clubs want, at all costs, Brooks who, at the moment, seems far from reappointment in the red and white.

Future also hangs in the balance for Ellis. The British point guard is expected at St. John’s in the NCAA but, from the United States, there is little comforting news. As reported by Sports Illustrated, there may be very stringent new rules coming on new contracts in the NCAA. Those who have already been drawing professional salaries, such as Ellis (and Niang) could also see their deals blown up.

In short, at the moment the Brooks and Ellis issues are all in flux. The company, however, is focused exclusively on the playoffs. There is a will to go all the way and win the Scudetto. Then there will be a way and time to figure out how to solve the two thorny cases.
