Sampdoria still knocked out, protest breaks out: fans block exit from stadium
Tensions at the end of the Genoa game.
Sampdoria-Lecce infuriates the Blucerchiati fans. According to reports from ‘Il Secolo XIX’, at the end of the match in Marassi (which ended 2-0 for the guests thanks to the signature of Colombo, author of a double) about two hundred supporters of the Ligurian team stood outside the Stadio Ferraris, in Corso De Stefanis, where the exit used by the teams to reach the coaches is located.
One fan, the Ligurian newspaper added, explained over a megaphone that the goal was to block the Sampdoria team inside the facility. ‘Il Secolo XIX’ explained that the whole thing occurred without further tensions, however exit of the coaches was manned by officers of the Mobile Police Department.
Sampdoria, second-last in the standings (but with one game more than last-place Verona), suffered its fourth consecutive defeat against Lecce. At home it had lost to Sampdoria, instead picking up two knockouts in Milan and Turin against Inter and the Granata. The last points remain those collected on October 24 on the field of Cremonese, in what is currently the only victory of the season (compared with 3 draws and as many as 11 knockouts).
