The Valtur Brindisi has made official the confirmation of Andrea Cinciarini also for the 2026/27 sports season, thus consolidating the technical continuity and the project started last year.

The 1986-born point guard, who arrived in Brindisi on Aug. 27, 2025, immediately established himself as a central figure on and off the court. A recognized leader and the best assistman in the history of Italian basketball, Cinciarini led the team with consistency and personality throughout the season.

During the last year of Serie A2, including the Italian Cup and playoffs, the player played in all 41 official games, finishing with an average of 7.7 assists and 1.8 balls recovered per contest, being among the best performers in the league in individual statistics. With the biancoazzurra jersey he also totaled 303 total assists, with a season high of 14 assists against Rimini on Nov. 12, in the eleventh day of the championship.

Numbers that bring Cinciarini closer to the record of Daniele Parente, who stopped at 309 assists made in his seasons in Brindisi between 2006 and 2009 between Serie B and A2.

“As I have already said since my first day in Brindisi,” comments Andrea Cinciarini, “I am here to try to hit a very important goal and make a dream come true. We know very well that it will not be easy, only two teams at the end of the season can do it and I have touched with my own hands the beauty and difficulty of the A2 Series after so many years in the top division. I am honored to be part of this new course, I am here ready alongside two professionals like Giulio Iozzelli, whom I know from the time of the promotion to A2 with Pistoia, and Nicola Brienza, my assistant coach in Cantù in the first year of the Euroleague, with whom we have looked for each other several times in recent years. Beyond the roles held as Sports Director and Head Coach – concludes the Italian point guard – it is essential to be surrounded by exemplary people and professionals and this is the case with them. Good luck to Giulio, Nicola and all of us.”
