Luigi Suigo, after a solid season with Serbia’s Mega Basket Belgrade, has decided to make himself eligible for the 2026 NBA Draft, scheduled for June 23 and 24 (first and second round picks). The former Olimpia, 19, is hoping to be called in the first round.

The long player (220 cm) has grown a lot this past season. He traveled at an average of 8.5 points per game, confirming that he is now ready to play in the NBA. In terms of physical and technical characteristics, he seems to have what it takes to become part of the golden NBA world.

More than once, Luigi Suigo himself has reiterated how his primary goal is precisely to play in the NBA. Should he not be chosen in the first round, there would always be the NCAA option, which, however, seems the solution that least intrigues the 2007-class center.

There is one fact to keep in mind. To date, out of the 17 prospects coming out of Mega Basketball Belgrade who have made themselves eligible for an NBA Draft, only three have been chosen in the first round, namely Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Goga Bitazde and Nikola Jovic. Luigi Suigo hopes to be the fourth to make it. Be that as it may, it should be remembered that, Nikola Jokic, three-time NBA MVP, was chosen in the second round and, also, by Mega Basketball Belgrade. Perhaps one could even wait for the second round of NBA Draft call-ups, no?
