Success for Cantine Vitea and the "Golf and Wine 1895" project at the AKE Group Golf Cup 2026

Great appreciation for Antonio Faravelli, winemaker and golfer from Montù Beccaria, in Oltrepò Pavese, protagonist of the AKE Group Golf Cup – Swing to Open d’Italia 2026 event, hosted in the prestigious setting of the Golf Club Lecco.

Faravelli, owner of Cantine Vitea and promoter of the “Golf and Wine 1895” project, was exclusively invited to present his wines and illustrate the initiative dedicated to the enhancement of Italian wine excellence. During the event, he shared some significant moments with Luigi Nespoli, president of the Lecco Golf Club, and with Pietro Villa of Banca Generali.

The wines of Cantine Vitea, which have already received numerous awards, were very successful among the participants. In particular, the Metodo Classico collected wide acclaim, confirming itself among the most appreciated labels of the day. Numerous guests took part in the tastings and purchased the wines presented by Faravelli, expressing great satisfaction with the high quality of the productions.

During the awards ceremony, flanked by President Luigi Nespoli, Antonio Faravelli reiterated the objectives of the “Golf and Wine 1895” project: to promote the wines of Oltrepò Pavese and other lesser-known wine-growing areas, supporting the territory and helping to attract a tourism that is increasingly interested in Italian food and wine excellence.

The project received a standing ovation from those in attendance, confirming the growing interest in a model that combines sports, wine culture and territorial enhancement.
